The short version
Your artwork never reaches us. PrintFilmReady runs entirely inside your browser: the colour separation, the halftone screening and the ZIP are all produced on your own device. No image file is uploaded to a server, so there is no copy of your design for us to store, read, lose or hand over. That is a property of how the tool is built, not a promise about how carefully we behave.
What we do process is limited to visitor statistics and, if you choose to give it, your email address.
Who runs this site
PrintFilmReady is operated by:
| Company | Extend NV |
| Address | Uitbreidingsstraat 390/2, 2600 Antwerp, Belgium |
| Company / VAT number | BE 0449.683.486 |
| support@printfilmready.com |
Extend NV is the data controller for the personal data described below.
What we collect, and why
1. Artwork and files: nothing
Files you open in the tool are read by your browser and never transmitted. Settings such as your preferred mesh count or unit may be stored in your browser's local storage, on your own machine. We cannot read that storage, and clearing your browser data removes it.
2. Visitor statistics
Google Analytics, only if you agree. The first time you visit, a small banner asks whether we may use Google Analytics (Google Ireland Limited) to see how many people visit which pages and how the tool is used. If you decline, or ignore it, Google Analytics is never loaded and Google receives nothing. If you accept, Google sets cookies (_ga, _ga_*) and receives page, referrer, approximate location, browser and device data, and the events we send (for example that a film was generated or a ZIP downloaded — never your artwork or file names). You can change your choice at any time: .
Gallery. If you add work to the gallery, the photo (shrunk in your browser, location data removed), the name or nickname, title and the optional technique, description, country and link you enter are stored at Supabase and shown publicly until you ask us to remove them. Links on entries are marked nofollow. Write to support@printfilmready.com to have an entry removed.
Business purchases. If you request an invoice as a company, the company name, VAT number, billing address, contact name, email address and any reference or note you enter are stored at Supabase in a private table that only we can read. We use them to make and send the invoice and your access code, and keep them as long as accounting law requires. Nothing from this table is shown publicly.
Reviews. If you write a review, the name or nickname, rating, text and the optional profession/studio and country you type are stored in a database at Supabase and shown publicly on this website until you ask us to remove them. No email address is asked for. Write to support@printfilmready.com to have a review removed.
Anonymous counters. Separately from the above, the site and the tool add one to a few plain counters (page visits, films generated, ZIP files downloaded) hosted by CounterAPI. No cookie is set and no identifier is sent with them; like any server, CounterAPI sees your IP address when the request arrives, and we do not receive it.
Lawful basis: Google Analytics — your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR); counters — our legitimate interest in understanding whether the site works and is used (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
3. Your email address, if you give it
Three separate purposes, three separate lists. The newsletter, the beta application and the access code in the tool are kept apart on purpose: subscribing to one never adds you to another, and we do not merge them.
Newsletter. If you subscribe on the newsletter page, we store your address in Brevo, our email provider, and send you a confirmation mail first; you are only added once you click the link in it. You may optionally tell us what you print, which we use to decide which guide to mention first.
Beta applications. If you apply for a beta seat we keep your answers to reply about your seat, send your access code and ask how the test went. This does not subscribe you to the newsletter.
Access codes in the tool. Entering your address in the app is not a sign-up: it stays in your own browser so the code can be checked against it, and it is not transmitted to us.
Historically this section also covered the step wedge download; that file is now a free generator with no email required. We use it to send you what you asked for and, only if you opted in, occasional updates about the tool. Every email contains an unsubscribe link, and asking us by email works just as well.
Lawful basis: your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). We keep the address until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, and review the list periodically.
4. Emails you send us
If you write to support@printfilmready.com we keep the correspondence so we can help you and follow up. Lawful basis: legitimate interest in handling support requests.
5. Server logs
Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes standard technical data including IP addresses in order to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. These logs are short-lived and we do not use them to identify individuals.
Cookies
Cookies for statistics (Google Analytics) are set only after you accept the banner, and you can withdraw that at any time (see section 2). We set no advertising cookies. Cloudflare may set strictly necessary cookies for security and performance. The tool's use of local storage covers your own settings and remembers your cookie choice, and stays on your device.
Who else is involved
We keep the list of processors deliberately short:
- Cloudflare — hosting and security.
- Google — Google Analytics, only if you accept the banner.
- CounterAPI — the anonymous counters described in section 2.
- Supabase — stores the reviews and gallery entries you choose to publish (section 2).
- Brevo — email delivery, if you have given us your address.
- GTranslate — the machine-translated versions of this site (fr., de. and es.printfilmready.com). Those pages are delivered through GTranslate's servers, which see the page text and your IP address like any web host would. Your artwork is not part of this: the tool itself is not translated this way and runs only in your browser.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with advertisers. Where these providers process data outside the European Economic Area, they do so under the safeguards required by the GDPR, such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you may ask us to give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its processing, or provide it in a portable form. Where processing rests on consent, you can withdraw that consent at any time.
Write to support@printfilmready.com and we will respond within one month. In practice, for most visitors the honest answer will be that we hold nothing at all.
If you believe we have handled your data badly, you may lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit / Autorité de protection des données), Drukpersstraat 35, 1000 Brussels — contact@apd-gba.be.
Children
This is a tool for print workshops and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
Changes
If we change how the site handles data — for example when accounts and saved jobs arrive — we will update this page and change the date below. Material changes affecting people on our mailing list will be announced by email.
